Ground Transportation Paperwork
In the vehicle notebook, you should find two forms readily accessible:
- CAPF 73 - CAP VEHICLE INSPECTION GUIDE AND USAGE DATA
- CAPF 77-1-2 - CAP VEHICLE USAGE LOG
These must be filled out every time a vehicle is driven.
CAPF 73
Inspection
If you are the first driver to use a CAP van on a given day, you must
complete a vehicle inspection. The checklist is on the front of CAPF 73.

If a trip lasts more than one day, you must complete the inspection at
the beginning of each day and sign the inspection record accordingly.
When you have completed the inspection, sign the CAPF 73 on the back in
the block for the current day (notice the blocks are numbered 1-31).

If you are the first driver to use a CAP van in a given month, you must
sign the inspection in two places: once on the front and again on the back.
Usage Information
When you are finished with a trip, enter the total number of hours the
van was away from base in the Usage block:

If a trip lasts more than one day, you will put one entry in this section
for the entire trip. The line numbers correspond to uses, not days, so use
the next empty line when entering information (notice the numbers stop at 26).
Discrepancies
If you notice any discrepancies with the vehicle, note them in the
approriate section of the CAPF 73:

CAPF 77-1-2
